Insulators for overhead lines and substation bus support in both porcelain and silicone rubber composite. Composite long-rod units weigh a fraction of a porcelain string, resist vandalism and hold up far better in polluted, coastal and industrial atmospheres where leakage current and flashover are the real failure mode. Creepage is specified to the pollution level of the site.
