Hybrid inverters run solar, battery and grid together, deciding in software whether to serve the load from the array, charge the battery or import. Changeover to battery is fast enough that computers and process equipment do not notice the grid has gone. Lead-acid and lithium battery profiles are supported, with programmable charge and discharge windows for time-of-day tariffs.
